EYC Mission Statement
Eritrean Youth Club (EYC) aims to empower and support young people aged 6–19 by providing accessible, inclusive and positive opportunities that enable them to explore new activities, develop their skills, build confidence, strengthen their community connections and reach their full potential.
EYC welcomes all young people, regardless of heritage, background or circumstances. While our membership began within the Eritrean community, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment where young people from the wider community can participate, contribute and feel valued.
Through our regular youth sessions, educational programmes, sports, cultural activities, personal development opportunities and youth voice activities, we support young people to:
- Explore new interests and experiences
- Develop confidence, communication and leadership skills
- Build positive relationships and community networks
- Develop their personal, social and educational skills
- Participate actively and have their voices heard
- Learn about and celebrate culture and diversity
- Develop skills that support their wellbeing and future aspirations
- Reach their potential in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment
